Not Great Not Terrible – Scarier Geiger Counter Sounds – 76 Edition
Makes the geiger counter sounds much scarier/realistic.
A simple Fallout 76 version of a Fallout 4 mod I really like. This mod was originally by Aizekku, who has granted permission for conversion reuploads as long as they’re credited. As the original page describes, this mod aims to make the geiger counter sounds much scarier/realistic. Includes both the original version as well as the quieter version.
To install, first create a “Fallout76Custom.ini” in the following directory (if you don’t already have one):
C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76\
Then, put the following lines in the Fallout76Custom.ini:
[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List = ScarierGeigerCounter.ba2,
or for the quieter version,
sResourceArchive2List = ScarierGeigerCounter_Quieter.ba2
or, if you have multiple mods:
[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List = ExampleMod1.ba2, ExampleMod2.ba2, ScarierGeigerCounter.ba2,
or for the quieter version,
sResourceArchive2List = ExampleMod1.ba2, ExampleMod2.ba2, ScarierGeigerCounter_Quieter.ba2
then, simply place “ScarierGeigerCounter.ba2” or “ScarierGeigerCounter_Quieter.ba2” in your Fallout 76 data directory, which by default is:
C:\BethesdaDotNet\Bethesda.net Launcher\games\Fallout76\Data\
or, if you have the game on Steam:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout76\Data\
