Festive Balloon Lootbags
Got tired of seeking for these loot drops you or someone else might’ve left? This mod will help you see any of them from the distance.
I remade the mod from scratch using Bethesda’s textures as a base, but the credits for the original idea still go to lelandcheung.
Version 1.0 Contents
Glowing Baloons replacer for all lootbags in one archived bundle. (Replaces Standard Paper Bag, VT Duffel Bag, Holiday Present Box, Bowling Ball Bag, Gravestone, Guts Pile, Piggybank, Halloween Pumpkin, Raider Bone Pile, Settler Traveler Bag)
Please note that the balloons, while being an object clearly visible from a great distance, might still pose some trouble while being close to you due to their collision mesh. (that means you can’t pass them through, so don’t leave ’em in tight spaces :D) That is currently unfixable.
Installation
1. Extract Balloon_M.ba2 and Balloon_T.ba2 to your Fallout76 Data folder.
2. Make sure you have Fallout76Custom.ini file in your Documents/My Games/Fallout76 folder. If not, just create one as a notepad txt document.
3. Add the following line to the top of the [Archive] section in your Fallout76Custom.ini file:
sResourceIndexFileList = Balloon-M.ba2, Balloon-T.ba2
If you already have the string that begins with “sResourceIndexFileList” in your Fallout76Custom.ini file, then just add “, Balloon-M.ba2, Balloon-T.ba2” to the end of that string (without the quotes).
Note: Only you will see this replacer in your game, other players will still see the lootbag models and textures they have in their game, so it’s just for your own gameplay experience improvement.
Uninstallation
1. Remove Balloon-M.ba2 and Balloon-T.ba2 files from your Fallout76 Data folder
2. Remove “Balloon-M.ba2, Balloon-T.ba2” from sResourceIndexFileList string of your Fallout76Custom.ini file
