Better Settlers Well
Adds the little wooden roof from the Haunted well to the Settlers well, and removes the skull while keeping the functionality and animations intact.
Does not change the Haunted Well (hopefully).
This mod does what Bethesda should have done from the start with the Settlers Well: gives it the iconic little wooden roof that is instead present, of all possible well types, on the “creepy” one, for some reason.
The Well is fully functional, animations and all.
I had to modify the creepy well textures to make this mod (removed the skull and some wooden parts), but I tried to set up a different BGSM and a different diffuse texture file, so it shouldn’t actually hurt the visual of the actual ATX creepy well. I don’t own the creepy well, so this theory needs testing.
A side effect of using the Creepy Well is that part of said iconic little roof is broken. Since it’s part of the mesh itself that is missing, I cannot fix it unless I duplicate the entire mesh, turn it around, and make the parts I don’t need invisible, which is both complicated and unpractical. Put the broken section on the back of the well and it doesn’t look bad at all.
Remember to put the b2a names in your custom.ini, or use Quick Config and select *Bundled*. This is very important because b2a archives that contain both Material and texture files do not work correctly, in my experience.
