Debug Cubes – Mod Resource
A resource of uniquely textured rectangular solids that modders can use to determine how a model is used by the game. Essential for replacer mods that override many models in game.
What is it?
Have you ever wanted to replace a whole lot of models in Fallout76 and want to know how that might change in-game. Maybe you are YOLO modding and don’t quite know which of the 56,469 models (patch 35 not counting LOD and VIS) your trying to replace. Why not use a debug cube! These handcrafted cubes come with 12 vertices and over 5000 flavors! In the screenshots above I replaced almost all 1650 door, fence, and barrier models with various debug cubes to see the results in game. These cubes have collision removed so they will not impede your progress and are essential for the next modder looking to debug their meat pile or quest item replacer.
How to use?
From the zip file add both DebugCubesMaterials.ba2 and DebugCubesTextures.ba2 to your load order then create a mod replacing any game model with a rectangular solid of your choosing. In-game the cube will show up numbered the same as it’s original filename.
